Custom Pet Portraits
& Animal Artwork
Hi there! If you’re here to purchase a giclée canvas print (art reproduction printed on canvas), please email me or fill out this inquiry form to learn more. At this time I do not have canvas prints listed in my online shop so orders can be placed directly through me. If you’re able to make it to an in person art show or festival, that is recommended to see the large selection of designs and sizes I currently have in stock! If you’re not local and would like a print shipped to you, get in touch to see what designs I can get printed for you. It may take up to 2 weeks for a print order to be printed and shipped to you.
FAQS
What is a canvas reproduction giclée print?
It’s essentially a “copy” of an original painting. Canvas prints are made with high quality water based inks printed from a massive printer onto polyester canvas fabric, and then stretched over a wooden frame that is ready to hang on your wall! On their own, the print quality is superb and many people even mistake my prints for original paintings. The edges typically include a mirrored image of the artwork, so the colors will wrap around the sides like my original paintings do, but on some designs I may print them with solid black or colored sides for an edgier look.
What is the difference between a print and an original painting?
A print is a copy - and many copies exist. An original was painted by me by hand in my studio (hours, days, weeks or even months of work were put into a single painting), and there is only one original.
Comparing an original and a print side by side is likely the only time most would notice a visual difference. Colors in a print may be a little less vibrant, you won’t get that rough raw feeling that you get from an original piece of canvas with chunks of actual paint on it and small imperfections that make it unique. However, there is often a large price difference between a print and an original of the same size, making a print a more budget friendly option.
Prints are only available in select designs, based off paintings I’ve already created. If you are interested a custom piece of art like a pet portrait, you will need to commission an original, and you’ll have a one of a kind piece that exists just for you!
What sizes are available?
My most popular and common sizes offered are 11x14”, 16x20”, 18x24”, 12x24” & 12x36”. All my prints are typically printed with a .75 inch edge, which can be hung alone or is suitable for framing. If you prefer a thicker gallery wrap (1.5 inch edge) that can be made custom to order for an additional fee. Custom sizing is available too, but may be limited depending on the proportions of the original painting.
What is your pricing?
For online orders that include shipping, my pricing starts at $60 for an 11x14” and goes up by size.
How do I decide between purchasing a print, or an original painting?
Firstly, I’d say decide on your budget. If you can afford the price on an original painting you love and like the idea of having a one-of-a-kind painting that was created by hand, I’d always pick an original painting over a print when possible. If you’re on a budget but love my work, and don’t mind having a reproduction, prints are an excellent option. If you want art to fill a large wall space, such as one very large piece or a gallery wall filled with several pieces of art, prints are a great way to do that at a lower price point. If you’re wanting something custom, like a pet portrait or animal art however, you will need to commission an original painting.
